Spring Fling 2021 will run virtually on 24 April 2021, when we will be bringing all the fun from our home to yours. The event has been postponed out of respect for HM The Queen, Patron of RSCDS in light of the sad death of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
Remember, all times are in BST (UTC+1)
We’ll kick off in the morning with a pre-recorded step class covering Flora MacDonald’s Fancy. The class will be provided in bite size chunks so that you can master each step at your own pace! Videos will be available both on the day and afterwards, giving you plenty of time to perfect the dance. Links will be shared here when available.
Scottish Country Classes
2-3pm – Beginner / Intermediate class
3.15-4.15pm – Advanced
These will be run by our teachers from their own homes via Zoom. You can pick one, or do both if you feel up to it!
Devise a Dance
Join together with other Spring Flingers to create your own ceilidh dance.
Chat to other Flingers!
Spring Fling is all about making friends. Reconnect with old friends and make new ones in our Zoom breakout rooms. A dedicated games room will be available if you would like to ease yourself in gently.
We will round off the evening with a Ceilidh. There will be a selection of live and recorded music for you to dance to and enjoy.
How will I access the event?
Zoom links will be shared in the DSAH email on 21 and 23 April – if you don’t already receive these emails, please sign up for them.
